Sources and interpretation

Each response includes references to the edition, passage or scientific source it discusses. Follow those references alongside the argument, paying attention to the scope of the cited material.

A source may establish what Ross argues without establishing that his conclusion follows. Likewise, a biblical passage, an interpretation of it and a scientific model are different kinds of support. A criticism of one model does not by itself establish an alternative.

The responses state material source limits where they matter. The available text of Noah’s Flood Revisited omitted Table 17.1’s cells, so the biodeposit response does not assess the whole table. The human genetics response discusses Poznik and colleagues’ abstract, without assessing the full article’s methods.
